Translate a written piece into an artwork!
Bring a piece of writing to class (poem, song lyrics, etc) and through this workshop you’ll discover a process to isolate the visual from the written. Then, through collage/mixed media, create that discovered visual image.
The completed piece is in a card format that can be displayed as is or framed.
About the facilitating artist:
Deborah Lawton, artist
Deborah Lawton (BFA, CZT) Lives in Airdrie & creates in her home studio. For 30+ years she has been a passionate arts educator, sculptor, painter and a costume/set designer. Exploring the underlying emotion of a subject is what fuels her creativity. Contact Deborah at artbranchstudio@telus.net
